| | Another benefit motorcycle rideSeptember 2, 2011 - Frank RobinsonI went on an interesting benefit motorcycle ride this past weekend. It was held to raise money for the local Animal Welfare League. It began at Garden Brook in Cortland and included a tour of covered bridges in Ashtabula County. It cost $15 per rider and I would guess there were 100-150 motorcycles involved. The ride headed north on state Route 5, and included the Mechanicsville Road bridge, The Harpersfield Covered Bridge, Doyle Road Covered Bridge, Netcher Road Covered Bridge and the South Denmark Road Covered Bridge. The ride was absolutely beautiful and price of the ticket included breakfast before we left and dinner upon our return. The ride took about 3-4 hours.
